Taking into account different spellings doesn't fly. If that were the case, my given name (Caitlin) would probably top the girls charts by nature if its various spellings. Caitlyn, Caitlinn, Caitlynn, Katelyn, Katelin, etc etc.
That said, the statistic just goes to show the cultural shift Britain is taking due to its "toughest immigration laws in the world".
