Mum drops toddler off balcony for dad to catch, just to avoid using stairs

A woman was filmed risking her toddler’s life by throwing him off a balcony into the arms of his father, simply to save her a journey down the stairs.

Concerned neighbour Akbota Rynzhanova captured the unbelievable moment, and claimed there was no emergency or any good reason to put the child’s life at risk.

The little boy, who is only 18-months-old, is dangled over the balcony by his arms before finally being released to be caught by his father standing below.

Akbota, who shot the footage near his home in Astana City, the capital of Kazakhstan, said: ‘How dumb can you be, to think of throwing the baby from the balcony? I’m shocked.’

The video was put on Facebook where the actions of the parents were widely condemned, being called ‘irresponsible’.

However other commenters pointed out that the baby was laughing in the video, and didn’t seem to be in any distress.
