in 2016, I frequented a board that was totally Hillary and nasty. I wasn't into the political crap but some of the loonies were entertaining in a twisted way. after that election, the entire board fell apart and shut down... like within a few weeks. it had become nothing but political ugliness.

I don't get those who think they're actually "debating" by making up stupid/nasty names.

I think that's called "Hobbyism". Maybe a lot of us do that in some form or other? I think that trap that I fall into is Smileys. Others, maybe GIFs?

I just ignore political discussions and reply to topics that are more my style. No stress that way. You can't get caught up in political madness if you don't participate.
