My Next Scooter

OK, so you guys at the moment know I own a Kymco Filly 50cc scooter with a maximum speed of 30mph, called Independence.

But, my next Scooter I'm aiming for sometime in the future is a 125cc with a maximum speed of 60mph.

I want one of the following Scooters:



GILERA NEXUS 125

OR A

YAMAHA XMAX

I have a long way off affording one of these, I know.. But, I do know a motorcycle shop that do finance, so I can pay for it in stages, so I will be able to get one, eventually.

They are both sharp looking scooters. Would have a hard time deciding which one. I guess after test driving them I would come up with the right fit for me. Do you like one better over the other right now?

I love the look of the Gilera Nexus 125. I sat on one in the motorcycle store and it felt SO different to Indie. I seemed to be sitting higher up and could see a lot more, what with the seat higher than Indie's. It felt really light. I didn't get to test drive it, but I felt really good sitting on it.

Did they not have the YAMAHA XMAX there too?

Yeah, but I love the look of the Gilera - I love the colour red!

The Gilera looks like a sturdier scooter. The Yamaha looks more like a motorcycle than a scooter to me. Then again it's hard to tell from just looking at the pictures. Both are very sharp looking machines!

I like the look of the Gilera. Its a sturdy, bulky scooter and it looks cool. The XMAX is a stunning scooter too.. I have a hard choice out of the two. But, the Gilera has a more pronounced backrest on it and feels really study underneath me.

But then, I love the colour and the size and shape of it. They both look like great machines!
