A teacher was suspended from a Christian school in Ohio after nude photos of her showed up online.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported on Wednesday that Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy put an unnamed teacher on paid leave when pictures of her appeared on a "revenge porn" site.

"We can confirm we have an employee who appears in some photos that have been compromised and made digitally available," spokeswoman Jennifer Murphy said in a statement. "By compromised, I do mean were made available without her knowledge or consent."

The school includes children ages K-12.

Revenge porn sites allow people to upload naked photos of their exes and include personal details about them.

On Monday, WCPO reported that the teacher had resigned.

She also filed a police report indicating that her cellphone had been stolen.

"The woman is already a victim," the parent, who asked to remain anonymous, told WCPO. "But this being a Christian school, parents are upset that a teacher is even taking naked pictures and sending them to people -- and...her students are old enough to get online and Google their teacher's name and the photos come up."

University of Dayton Sociologist Art Jipson told WKEF it's never a good idea to send nude photos of yourself to anyone.

"We know people send these images as a way of trying to establish intimacy faster, quicker. 'I'm going to trust you and share this picture'," Jipson said. ""It's really risky."

Revenge porn victims and their advocates are lobbying for laws against it.

Currently, only California and New Jersey have laws in place offering protection or recourse to victims, according to the Associated Press.

Exactly. Who even really cares if some women has pictures online? Maybe it comes from where I hang out on the internet, but people treat being doxed and similar info leaks as if it is the end of the world, which just to me seems horribly conceited (as if anyone would really care about you that much). When everyone overreacts it just makes it a bigger deal than it really is.

Actually any schools response to negative news reports (caused by an employee) is to fire that employee. At least that's what I've seen happen.
