Name Brand Vs. Generic

Do you buy Name Brand food/drinks or Generic food/drinks? Discuss.

We buy name brand food, but we buy generic drinks (Soda), unless the regular, name brand is on sale.

There is some things I will buy the name brand though. But the majority is off brand. Its usually the same thing, why throw money away on a fancy label and popular name?

I can't say I buy all name brand stuff cause I don't. It depends on the price and how much I have to spend.

Clothing, I tend to buy brand name. But I still watch for sales on it. All my clothes are Silver, Parasuco, Guess and Buffalo. They fit better than no-name clothes, and generally look nicer too. I'm a Coke-alolic, so that stays brand name, but generally, food or anything else doesn't bother me. If it does the job just as well, then that's good enough for me.

As far as food goes, we usually just buy the generic. Cokes (and I mean any soda - we just call it all coke here) are usually the cheap brand unless there's a sale - Dr. Pepper is usually on sale at the dollar store usually every other month or once a month or something. We buy the generic brand of chips and bread...Peanut Butter isn't usually generic, I think...but yeah. Mostly the cheaper brand is what we buy.

I mean, come on - there are six of us kids - you have to go cheap.

Exactly, Your getting fed aren't you? Dad tends to get supermarket's own products, sometimes like walker crisps or whatever, but mostly he will only get ''Sainsbury's own'' i don't mind it. It tastes exactly the same and i get fed, so? Either Have a cheaper food or don't get fed in my opinion. I'd rather get fed

It's not that i'm poor, I can manage perfectly we are never short of money, but its spending youre money wisely, most people fail to do so. IMO.

I just buy whatever's cheaper. Working that stuff out is as far as my high school math has ever gone. But in the end it doesn't matter what's on the label, it all tastes the same anyway.
