Nearly Destroyed forum?

Have you ever nearly destroyed a forum or had one of your forums almost to the point of destruction?

Several times. Which is why I make backups before I start tinkering.

I did destroy one of my forums once.

Lucky it only had about 20 members and 300 posts or something like that.

Well, I've got two sites I admin/basically run with 150k posts each.



I've taken each of them down big time before... To the point of going into the database and manually rewriting them.

That took a while.

Of course I been on destroyed forums. Most were corrupted anyways. =/

I came very close to destroying a forum.

I take backups but it turns out I was missing one or two parts but was still able to resolve the issue and get it back. Of all backups......
