Nebulous was offline.. Now online!

Well I knew this day was coming. I’m surprised it didn’t come sooner. Comcast finally cut off my cable tv and cable internet!! I stopped paying the bill a couple months ago due to some financial problems. Which I talked about here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=137

Last night I get home and I turn on the TV to find a message that says “Channel Not Available” so I change the channel and ALL the channels say that. I was thinking.. Uh oh! So I go on the computer and my internet is not working. Then I go outside and see a note taped to my front door saying that my Comcast services have been cut off and I have to pay such and such amount to get it turned back on. I figure that its time to ditch the highly expensive tv and internet and get something cheaper. Like Dish Network and at&t DSL. Using those two would be a third of my Comcast bill.



Anyways, It might take me a few days or longer to get my home internet situation sorted out. So I will only be able to pop in here during my breaks at work.

Ok just got off the phone with AT&T. They said my modem and install package should be coming in 2-3 buisness days. So I might get it by Tuesday or Wednesday. They said a technician will be coming out on Thursday to make sure everything is all good.

You extended your internet & cable service with ComCast until the rims fell off.

I bet you hoped they'd forget about your payments to them. Anyhow, Dish Network & DSL are real good providers. Dish works perfectly, with the exception of storms, but I recall you saying you never have storms down in Cali., and like I've said before, my friend had DSL (At&t/Bellsouth), whenever I went over there and used his computer, it was still fast. Take your time, Off Topix is not going anywhere. Good luck & have fun without TV/Internet at home for a few days!

Yeah it sucks. But I knew it was going to happen. I couldnt live in the fantasy world that they had forgotten all about me forever.

I will call up At&t and see when they can come out and get me hooked up.

That sucks - but it'll be okay!! I've had DSL for forever and it works fine, and I used to have DISH up until a month or two ago when we switched to Direct TV because my dad had it, but he moved so he gave it to us.
