Well since Ive committed myself (in my head at least) to exercising, I thought I'd make a log and record what I do every time I go to the gym.. or at least until I get tired of writing what I did.

Feel free to comment on what I was doing on any day.. Wont bother me none.

August 3rd 2010

  • Had a free session with a personal trainer. Did various exercises that worked out everything head to toe.. I would list them but there was too many to remember.

August 4th 2010

  • Did 30 minutes on the treadmill with a medium speed on the steepest uphill incline.
  • Swam laps in the pool for 20 or 30 minutes.
  • Sat in the Steam Room for 20 minutes.

August 5th 2010

  • 20 minutes on treadmill.. Slower speed (legs are sore).
  • 15 minutes on the machine.. Dont know the name.. You sit down, set the weight then you push the handles straight out. Works out the arms and chest..
  • 5 minutes of crunches..
  • 10 minutes of sauna (although I like the steam room better, I wanted to try out the sauna today)
  • 45 minutes of swimming laps one way then backstroke on the way back.

Home now and feeling good but a bit tired.

At that rate, you'll be in shape in no time. I really want to get back in shape. I'm fit, but don't have much muscle. My friend, who works out, is completely ripped, and he is shorter than me, yet, we weigh about the same. Sort of a wake up call, but I've just never been the type to really want to get ripped, but some muscle wouldn't hurt. I don't want to turn into the hulk, but I do want some more muscle and a six pack. It's not hard to get one, used to have one years ago. Ever since my football injury, haven't been able to really get back in shape.

Problem is, I'll lose the weight, but then I'll get tired of working out or something gets in the way, before I can focus on muscle, but I guess if I made better food/drink choices, I could keep it off. Stay to it, I'll need to do some working out of my own pretty soon.

  • Went with my daughter today (used her free guest pass) so I dropped her in the kids center while I went and ran on the treadmill for about a half hour.
  • Did 5 minutes of sit ups
  • 5 minutes on the exercise bike.
  • Went and got the kid from the daycare and we went swimming for about an hour. Did a few laps but was just mostly goofing around with the lil one.
  • Then she went back to day care while I went back did I did the 1st time around (before swimming).
  • Then I went swimming again for another hour.
  • After that she climbed on the rock wall. She kept making it about half way and could not get any further. She will get to the top with practice though.

We were there for like 4 hours today because she did not want to leave. lol

Im one tired puppy.

Just went swimming with the lil one.. No real exercising.

August 8, 2010

Went swimming earlier with the lil one then her mom wanted her because my daughter's grandma was in town. Came home for a while and was bored so I went back to the gym..

  • Ran & Walked a mile (1.6km) on the treadmill.
  • Tried a couple machines in the ab section of the gym. Worked on that belly for about 15 minutes.

  • Ran & Walked a mile (1.6km) on the treadmill (again).
  • Did some more work on the abdominals for about 10 minutes.

You're doing great Nebulous!

August 9th 2010

Picked up the lil one after work (last day of working mornings).. Dropped her in the day care for a while. I went to go pick her up an hour later to go climb the rock wall and go swimming but she wanted to stay in the day care for another 10 or 20 minutes. Lol..

Anyway....

  • Ran & Walked a mile (1.6km) on the treadmill.
  • Did some the abdominal equipment for about 10 minutes.
  • Did half a mile on the standing bicycle machine? I dont know what you call it. It kind of has petals like a bike but you stand and it seems like you would be petalling backwards. That one really made my legs burn and made me sweat.

Then picked up the lil one and we went swimming after she went on the rock wall. I wanted to do some laps but there was like a million people in the pool.

An elliptical? Haha we have one.

You're doing great, Nebulous. ^.^

Well I need to eat healthier to speed up the results.

Next time I go grocery shopping I will buy some better stuff. Cant let the food I have right no go to waste though.

The trainer guy said that I can eat that stuff, I just need to eat smaller portions.

August 10th 2010

  • 2.5 miles (4km) on the treadmill
  • 10 minutes on the abdominal crunch machine (mostly at 80lbs but went to 120 for a couple minutes)
  • Half a mile on the standing cycle thingy machine
  • 6 laps in the pool

You're doing great Nebulous! Are you still sore or are you getting used to it now?

*We want to see the before and after pictures

  • Did 3 to 4 miles on the treadmill (running and walking fast). I got to 2.something when I paused it to get a drink a water, when I came back it had reset it self so I did another mile because Family Guy was on one of the TV's.
    tongue.gif

  • 10 minutes on ab cruncher machine
  • 1 mile on the Elliptical I think its called. Looks like this: http://www.makeupbeautytricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/elliptical-machine.jpg Although the one I did yesterday which madyy said might be an elliptical was not the same.
  • 6 to 8 laps in the pool (was not keeping track)

Then sat in the steamroom for a few minutes then the hot tub for about 15 minutes when it started foaming as the jets were going. Like they dumped a bunch of chemical in there or something. I didnt know what was going on.. Usually when the jets are going the water just moves and bubbles, no foam is produced. So I got out and took a shower.

Nothing.. Normally I am at the gym right now (go there after work at around 10:30 and workout until around midnight) but I have to work my 2nd job tomorrow in the morning and I need to be up early.

August 13th 2010

Worked a 16 hour day and picked up my lil one after work. Being on my feet/working all day was enough of a workout I'd say. I got the blister on my foot to prove it.

August 14th 2010

  • Took my lil one and myself to the gym. We went swimming. I did about 10 laps in between playing with the lil one and helping her learn to swim some more. She is almost there.
  • She went rock climbing while I used some of the nearby equipment. Its all equipment to work on your legs.
