Well not really my new bunny but my daughters. If you remember, I posted about her last rabbit getting killed two and a half months ago: http://offtopix.com/showthread.php?t=5711

Today we adopted a new member into the family.

Can you see the resemblance?

I haven't really seen a rabbit with brown patches like that before. Very different and cute. I bet your daughter is really happy with the new addition to the family.

Yep.. and the bunny seems to be happy to be away from that pen at the pet store filled with guinea pigs squawking at each other all day.

Jesse is just adorable and I love her markings

The rabbit is sitting with me right now.. This one is way more friendlier and tame than the last one. She actually wants attention. The old one would have chewed a hole in my shirt and tried escape by now.

Aww, she's so adorable and she has lovely markings. I hope she has a happy life with you and your daughter, Nebulous.

Are you keeping Jesse inside or outside in the pen?

Inside but I suppose I will let her hop around the house once in a while. Rabbits like to chew on things.

Anyway, its a Mini Rex breed. This breed has VERY soft fur.

The main feature of Rex rabbits is their lustrous appearing fur that has a springy feel when depressed. The fur has earned the Mini Rex the name velveteen rabbit.

I think thats why people are constantly petting it. Our last one didnt get as much attention.. It was a neatherland dwarf which has normal hair I guess.
