Say goodbye, Mr. Bond. On Wednesday, about 2,000 movies -- including many Bond titles -- will be removed from Netflix.

Netflix's licensing deals with major studios including MGM, Universal, and Warner Bros. expire May 1. While some news outlets originally reported that these movies were moving to Warner Bros.'s new streaming site, Warner Archive took to Twitter to clarify that this is not the case.

In a statement to The Verge, Netflix made it clear that its goal is to be an "expert programmer" rather than a "broad distributor" of videos. A Netflix representative said that Netflix is adding, more than 500 titles on Wednesday and "this ebb and flow happens all the time."

You can see the entire list of more than 1,800 titles that Netflix is losing at InstantWatcher.

I am an avid netflix watcher (Netflix is playing on the tv right now through my wii while Im posting this).. If there's one thing Ive learned from Netflix, its that if you see a movie you want to watch on there, watch it now! Because it can disappear the next day never to be seen again. Happens all the time.

Yea, I am the same Nebulous, love netflix but I too have noticed alot of films and tv shows no longer on there.

yeah but they get new stuff all the time too!

I don't use Netflix, I use Lovefilm. But after hearing all my friends talk about how good it is, I was tempted to switch over. Might now any more now that all these titles are gone.

From what I seen of the list of stuff they are dropping, It seems to be pretty much all junk from my point of view. Nothing I was interested in watching or even had considered watching before.

They could do us a favor and start dropping all that one and two star crap from their lineup and replace it with stuff people actually enjoy watching.

Some times those crappy old 80's movies are really good!
