Just got me a new MP3 player. I bought it with the $50 my grandma gave me for my b-day.

She asked me what I wanted and I told her I need a new MP3 player... She asked me how much the one I wanted costs so she just gave me the money for it. I'd like to get an ipod or a zune but I dont want to spend that much money (or spend that much of my grandma's money).

My old one was crapping out.. Posted about that here: http://offtopix.com/showthread.php?t=6813

This one is a 4 gig and holds 1,200 songs. My last one was only a 2 gig. Although the storage doesnt matter because I like listening to the radio stations like 90% of the time anyway.

This is the one I bought: http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/mp3players/?sku=M4304

Very nice Nebulous!

Yeah it has a lot of cool features that my old one didn't have.

I like that I can record stuff off the radio. I hit record every time one of my fav songs came on the radio while I was at work and made an hour long mix-tape, well I will call it a mix tape.

Off topic: I remember my 1st girlfriend made me one of those when I was like 12. I still have it but I dont have a cassette tape player. I'd love to listen to that thing again for old time's sake. lol

Ive only had it for a few days and I scratched the screen already. I tired to take it back to the store to exchange it for another one, claiming that it is defective but I can't seem to find the receipt so they would not take it back. Not even give me a store credit. Guess I have to live with the scratch. Its not too bad... It was bound to happen eventually.

Well having a scratch, unless it's a touchscreen, doesn't really matter. And it's not really a defect, either.

I have two mp3 players. If I'm lying in bed and want to listen to music, I use my PSP. 4GB memory card full of music. If I'm going out, I use my shuffle-esque mp3 player. It's like an iPod Shuffle, but it's not made by Apple.

Thats a pretty nice one brand name is good. just got myself a ipod nano 3rd gen $30 bucks. My friend needed money badly for bills an he was selling anything!!!

Update on that mp3 player..

This thing was the worst piece of crap mp3 player I ever had. After only a month it would only play out of one earphone (no matter what earphones I put in there). Sometimes it would not turn on. I'd have to hold the ON button several times for it to finally come on. Either that or I'd have to switch it over to LOCK and the switch the LOCK off real quick before it shut it self down (to make it turn on). If it did come on it would say Building database, please wait for like 5 / 10 minutes and other times it would only show that message for a second. Half the time I plugged it into the computer to charge, it would not charge at all. Today I went and did laundry and I accidently washed it (it was in my pants pocket)..

So I bought another Philips brand mp3 player as my last Philips brand mp3 player worked strong for about 3 years.

That sucks. I hate faulty technology D:

I heard that besides iPods, that Creative mp3 players were the best. I don't know anyone with a Phillips so I don't know about them, though.

Hey Nebulous, if you ever feel you need to switch brands all together, the one I really like using are the Sansa Sandisk brands. As of right now I have a 2 GB Sansa Clip MP3 Player. Can hold about 1000 songs, which is all I need as I only listen to certain kinds of music anyways. I don't have any experience with the MP3 players that can play videos and stuff like that, so I can't give any reviews on that. My MP3 Player is nearing a year old in November, and while I have had some minor problems with the sound (although I think that's because I couldn't make up my mind as to whether I wanted to keep using MP3's or go back to CDs

) this particular brand is the best one I've used and I wouldn't use anything else ever again. Yes, you can listen to the radio on there, but it's only FM radio, though. If I have to replace my MP3 Player again I wouldn't mind giving the Sansa Fuze a whirl, as I've always wanted an Ipod, and that comes as close to an Ipod as one can get from what I can see.
