So basically every single new year I see these posts. Half the time people who do these never do stay with their 'new me' stuff at all.

Do you plan to chabnge something about yourself or something this year? If so, what is it? What are your thoughts on 'new year, new me' posts on social media etc?

I planned to join the gym as I did every other year but this time I didn't go through with it :p

I never got behind the New Year, New Me stuff at all. If you want to make changes (generally improvements), then just do it now and stop delaying the action. I will certainly support people trying to be healthier and whatnot, but the success rate seems very poor as in my eyes you already used waiting for the New Year as your first excuse not to do the thing.

Well I’m going to eat better / lose some weight & get into better shape. Already started. I did it before with tremendous success in 2017 and maintained a nice figure until 2019/2020 when the pandemic happened. When I thought the world was ending I said fuck it and let myself go. So yeah, already done it before so I can just repeat what I did before and get the same results. When I put my mind to something, I’ll make it happen.

I don't make resolutions because I don't stick to them. Though, I would say in the past couple of years I have sort of followed through on the new me side of things, lol. I'm not a fan of big, overly-ambitious "I'm going to change everything about myself in this new year" type of proclamations, but people who want to lose some weight, who want to take steps towards becoming themselves, and so on...that's fine, go for it! If you can achieve it, absolutely do it!

Well said. I don't believe people can ever change who they are. They can try. I don't ever bother trying to change who I am. Most of the time, I love being me. I can't help but be who I am. Having flaws is apart of life.

I've given up on deluding myself into thinking that I will improve myself to the point of being a functional human being someday, so miss me with the new year's resolutions. :P

So you're not currently a functional human being?
