Anybody have traditions they do for new years day they do every year?

My wife has a whole list of traditions she does for new years. Here are just a few first she lights a handful of colored candles that burn for the day.

Fresh roses set around the home to start of the new year.

And also we have rice with change in a bowl set for the downstairs and upstairs bathroom. And every new years day she gets rid of the old rice and fills them with new rice.

No traditions here, just a regular day for me.

And I almost forgot. When the hour strikes for the new year she has 12 grapes for her and 12 grapes for me. You make a wish for each one. But by that time I am usually so damn full I gotta really struggle to get them down.

Me too.

They're just numbers on a calendar really.

I got a new calendar of 50's and 60's pin-up girls. Retro-cool :P

My mom got me a cat calendar for 2015 from the store a long time ago. I was walking to the registers and she had stopped because she spotted it and knew I'd love it. xD

I think the same thing also but we have had a great ten years so I am happy to let her continue tradition. :)
