Think back to the days of newspapers,

Which section did you flip to first?

The front page? The sports section? The comics?

What was your fav?

News...just read the news first.

What were you looking for?
Misc
Various household items; I found a nice coffee table, real cheap loveseat for the dog.
More cats.
I actually found the 20-acre house & shop place in the stix that we bought & moved from about three years ago in a want ad....said, "Hey! look at this." :D

Ah, I suppose FaceBook marketplace is the new version of that. Don't think you can buy a house through them though. :P

This was a bit of an unusual deal: for sale by owner..a retired firefighter from Seattle who wanted to escape all of the civilized noise, chaos, traffic & stress of the city bought the 20, built a small, simple but sturdy house, garage & really big shop; got power hooked up to the place & put in a private well. But after about two years of living there discovered that he just couldn't take the solitude & seclusion & hermitish style of life.
We put a "for sale by owner" sign in our front yard in town & had a list of about 30 prospective buyers within a couple of days. Everything was dealt with on a "handshake deal" and the help of a real estate attorney.
This was about 20 years ago. Real estate things have gotten so much more complicated now, I think it would be pretty risky to proceed without a proper real estate agent, but their fees are SO outa sight!

I bought a house a couple years ago and the agents sure did get a big chunk of cash!

With all piled-on laws & math & bookwork they need to know, I have to grudgingly say I guess they're worth it....maybe... With the price of real estate these days their fee sure turns out to be a handsome hunk.

Well my realtor had an expensive car, clothes and was in the middle of building herself a 7 bedroom house. Lol

And new patent-leather shoes with matching Gucci handbag no doubt. :p
Did it cross your mind that we're in the wrong business? :D
