The internet killed the newspaper.. How long do you think before they are completely phased out all together?

I don't think they will ever be phased out completely. Not everyone has a computer so they buy or have home newspaper delivery.

Maybe another century or two

It's probably going to still be alive, but not as popular as it was before the internet was invented

How can a newspaper stay afloat with not many people subscribing anymore? The numbers are always going down. It costs a lot of money to run a newspaper.

My local newspaper stays afloat with the high advertising fee they charge. The paper is always full of new businesses and tons of classified ads.

There will always be a niche for a printed paper.

Like the lady said, not everyone will have access to online news, and there's times when you just want a paper... like with me, entering a diner for breakfast just seems wrong without a newspaper in my hand.

Well it seems like the next generation does not know what life is like without computers so it will only be a matter of time before people will think its silly to read words printed on paper.
