ATLANTA (CBS Atlanta) - A Democratic representative is calling for an amendment to the United States Constitution that would allow for some legislative restriction of freedom of speech.

“We need a constitutional amendment that would allow the legislature to control the so-called free speech rights of corporations,” Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) was quoted as saying by CNS News.

And this is certified NON-hating NON-disgusting NBC....

Industry Minister Arnaud Montebourg, a member of the governing Socialist party, caused controversy last week when he said that the Indian company, which employs close to 20,000 people in France, should leave after it said it would have to close down a factory.

The French government announced on Thursday that it could nationalize the factory in question, with backing from an unnamed businessman.

The news raised the specter of the nationalizations of the early 1980s, which were instigated by Hollande’s predecessor Francois Mitterrand.

Montebourg told CNBC after a meeting with trade unions in Paris: “Barack Obama's nationalized. The Germans are nationalizing. All countries are nationalizing. I've also noticed the British nationalized 6 banks.”

Does Obama have what it takes to be a dictator?

Joining us today is Kim Jung Un to discuss this question.

So, Kim Jung Un, you are a dictator yourself, is that correct?

I prefer the term Supreme Leader and I certainly do not manage Korea all by myself.

...

Right, that would actually be an interesting show. Anyway, I can't quite see Obama as a dictator... that guy has some weird ideas about democracy.

I've always preferred Supreme Commander...

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) on Wednesday afternoon urged people to turn in their guns, arguing it would be an appropriate response to last week's mass shooting in Newtown, Conn.

I would personally just say to those who are listening, maybe you want to turn in your guns, Jackson Lee said on the House floor. Oh no, I'm not going to take your guns. But look at what Dick's Sporting Goods did ... they wanted to be part of the solution and part of America.

And remember, Mr. Obama, as well as every screeching asshole in Congress is EXEMPT from the Act.

They will NEVER have to put up with the health care they have inflicted on the rest of us.

Sorry, but I am not exactly sure what health care you're referring to?

..and regarding that video clip, it is actually amazing that the old woman is still alive!!!

A week later, Henderson was charged with obstruction of legal process and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

He had been filming from about 30 feet away, he said. Henderson said deputies gave him no warning before Muellner took his camera.

The deputy wrote on the citation, While handling a medical/check the welfare (call), (Henderson) was filming it. Data privacy HIPAA violation. Refused to identify self. Had to stop dealing with sit(uation) to deal w/Henderson.

Henderson appeared in Ramsey County District Court on Jan. 2. A pretrial hearing was rescheduled for Jan. 30.

...

I wish the police around the country would get the memo on these situations, said Jane Kirtley, professor of media ethics and media law at the University of Minnesota. Somebody needs to explain to them that under U.S. law, making video recordings of something that's happening in public is legal.

The courts have been pretty clear on the issue, Kirtley said. Law enforcement has no expectation of privacy when they are carrying out public duties in a public place.

And from a certified non-hating non-disgusting paper:

Some of the most common and most powerful prescription painkillers on the market will be restricted sharply in the emergency rooms at New York City’s 11 public hospitals, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said Thursday in an effort to crack down on what he called a citywide and national epidemic of prescription drug abuse.

Under the new city policy, most public hospital patients will no longer be able to get more than three days’ worth of narcotic painkillers like Vicodin and Percocet. Long-acting painkillers, including OxyContin, a familiar remedy for chronic backache and arthritis, as well as Fentanyl patches and methadone, will not be dispensed at all. And lost, stolen or destroyed prescriptions will not be refilled.

Now, tell me again, what is inside all those twisty light bulbs we have to buy now?

GENEVA – Delegates from than 130 nations have begun negotiating to create the world's first legally binding treaty to reduce mercury emissions. ...

The U.N. environment program reported last week that mercury pollution in the top layer of the world's oceans has doubled in the past century, part of a man-made problem that will require international cooperation to fix.

No,

But you are still being forced to bring unwanted toxins into your home, and if one breaks, you are supposed to evacuate the building and call a hazardous disposal outfit.

So instead, we just throw them in the trash and it can seep into groundwater at its leisure.
