How do you feel about the movie theatres policy of not bringing in outside food?

We have them, but no one enforces them, i walk in their with bags of chips, drinks etc.

They'd stop you at the ticket taker station and tell you that you cant bring that in.. Then call over security if you don't listen to them.

I think its stupid that I can't go to the store and buy a 0.50 cent candy bar and instead I am forced to buy the same candy bar for $3.00. Well I am not forced but yeah..

We usually each lunch before going to the movies so we dont really need to snack while in there.

We don't have a ticket station in the afternoons it's just a random person standing there checking tickets and in the mornings there is no one so you can bring in what you want or just walk in.

Big rip off and I just don't buy anything at the movie theater.

I have a fleece jacket that has massive pocket, so I stuff cheap bags of Haribo in the pockets and the money for drinks in my trouser pockets. The ticket people are none the wiser

When my daughter was little, my ex would carry a diaper bag everywhere we went. She would put like one diaper in there in case we needed it and the rest of the bag was filled with snacks. lol

That's sneaky, but clever.

I usually take a popcorn bucket out of the trash and get a refill at the movie theater. I don't like that rule because the whole menu is a rip off.

Sounds very... sanitary.

One time when I was a teenager I asked some guy for his popcorn tub before he threw it away so I could get the free refill though.
