No school today!

I didn't have school yesterday and I won't have school today. The huge 2,000 mile long blizzard has affected my school, and it is cancelled for today. The public schools in Chicago have also been cancelled for 12 years. that has nothing to do with me because i don't live in illinois but i thought it was kind of interesting.



The blizzard hasn't brought hardly any snow here. It snowed a couple of inches two days ago and didn't snow at all yesterday. The reason school is cancelled is because of the freezing cold temperatures. It will be between 20 and 30 degrees below (farenheit.) It's one of the coldest weeks in a decade!



I'm excited to not have school today!

Are going to work tomorrow?

Yes, I am going to work tomorrow and tonight as well. Right now we are under a state of emergency. All schools, airports and most businesses are closed. The only people allowed on the roads right now are emergency personnel (which I happen to be one.) There is right now over 14 inches of snow and the storm will continue until tomorrow mid-afternoon. When all is said and done, the snow total will be well over 20 inches. Around here, smart people (like me

) hire roof shovelers to get the weight of the snow off the roof. Wouldn't want their job no matter how much it pays. Ugh...I HATE winter!
