Yes there is and it is called debt slavery...
The TV talking heads seem to forget that actual forced labor and indentured servitude exists on the continent of Africa in countries like Mauritania, Mali, the Sudan, Niger, and elsewhere, and in some parts of Asia. It has for millennia and will continue to go on until there is a sea change in the culture of those countries.
But they'd rather not talk about that, do even less about it, and get on TV and pose and spout off that sort of nonsense.

..and sex slavery, etc, is all over the world also, so what's your point?
