Obama's "life of Julia"

O hay guys the GOP hates wimmen YAAAAAA

Looks like Mr. O's last resort is feminism.

What do you mean last resort? He's ahead in the polls buddy.

The GOP has made some really bad mistakes recently that will alienate a great deal of women.

It's pretty sad that our president can't boast about what he has done the past three or so years and instead has to pit rich against poor, men against women.

Yeah, the GOP probably coulda handled a couple of issues better than they did, but Obama has done more harm to women (and every other American) with his failed policies. High gas prices, unemployment, high food prices, high energy prices, etc.

On the contrary.

But the pathetic show the Republicans have put on for the past three years is something worth mentioning. The party is so dysfunctional it would be laughable if not such a tragedy.

[font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]I've said this to so many people. The president has zero control over gas prices. We are producing more domestic oil under Obama than we ever have. More natural gas than ever too. Unemployment has only declined during his presidency aside from the first few months.[font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]

The race is still Mr. Obama's to lose.

Unfortunately for T, he seems to be working very hard to do just that.

(and I don't appear to be the only one that thinks so-

Let's get through the conventions, then we'll start doing some hard analysis of the two sides.

But in the mean time... .... who, and / or What.... are the Libertarians putting up this year?

From the AP

Around world, Obama's presidency a disappointment

In Europe, where more than 200,000 people thronged a Berlin rally in 2008 to hear Barack Obama speak, there's disappointment that he hasn't kept his promise to close the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, and perceptions that he's shunting blame for the financial crisis across the Atlantic.

In Mogadishu, a former teacher wishes he had sent more economic assistance and fewer armed drones to fix Somalia's problems. And many in the Middle East wonder what became of Obama's vow, in a landmark 2009 speech at the University of Cairo, to forge a closer relationship with the Muslim world.

Lolol, Europeans still love Obama.

[font=helvetica, arial, sans-serif]Perceptions by idiots.

I do agree with Rob that Obama is doing everything in his power to appeal to the female vote. The whole contraception issue changed the perception of the GOP (at least in my view) and actually worked to Obama's advantage. The last administration which I felt genuinely and accurately addressed womens' issues was FDR (because of the true, strong, first lady feminist Eleanor Roosevelt).

I have to disagree with you here. Gas prices started rising years before Obama was elected. Gas prices fluctuate depending on rising oil prices, the economic climate, international politics, and the laws of supply and demand. As Temerit stated we are starting to look for domestic energy sources (I remember reading somewhere that 80% of our energy is domestic). Right here in PA, the Marcellus Shale gas exploration has been a huge topic of interest. Currently we drill 2073 wells per year compared to just 27 wells per year in 2007 and previous years before the Obama administration. The opportunities for domestic drilling actually helps Americans find sustainable jobs.
