Of course: Anti-police protesters call the police after road blockade goes bad

+freezy said:
it is against the law to protest by blocking roads and stuff, but there were all over the country and you didn't have someone in a car riding through people... that car knew and seen those people out there protesting and in the street... the driver in the car made it a reason to continue and not turn around... doing so he ran through and struck people that weren't a threat at all as you might want to believe...

Just because it was happening all over the country and it happened there does make it any less viable that person felt threatened. For all we know that person never heard of any of the other protests and had no understanding of what was going on. The crime started with the protesters and whatever happened after that is because the protesters were breaking the law.

Well actually you don't know if they were a threat or not. With random shooting over there and even killing or policemen, the driver does not know the intentions of those who are forcing him to stop. Maybe he was getting away from a situation in which he felt threatened in.
The protesters had a responsibility for their own safety, they should have moved out of the way rather than trying to stop a two ton car with their bodies.

it doesn't matter... law is the law...

people in a crosswalk has the right away even if they are in the road illegally...

you can't just run over people because they are in your way...

and the driver could clearly see everyone in the road before he go that close to them, had plenty of time to not get close to them and turn around, or reverse... the driver is not innocent...
