Off Topix Music Tournament

I don't really know how to introduce this but here it goes, I decided that it'd be a fun little activity if we would have a Off Topix Music Tournament meaning that a selection of bands chosen by the members of the site will duke it out in one on one competition potentially eliminating one another until the conclusion. You're able to nominate three bands or single musicians from any genre of music each, and at the end of the week we'll formulate the tournament.



Below lists how much time is left until the tournament begins, afterward you will not be able to make entrants in the tournament.

Close. Everybody puts their favorite bands and whatnot but then we have a series of polls individually having people face one another in the form of a bracket, we can't have a massive poll because members are more likely to vote for the bands they entered.

We have the option of having nine polls going on at a time in this thread, it really depends on how many bands we get.

That was originally the plan, we always highly recommend before voting in polls you actually do somewhat review over the bands and don't just think to yourself that this band is by default better, I am going to ahead and place my picks of Sick Puppies, The Used, and Ozzy Osbourne. Whenever their times come in the polls, I'll post some of their songs.

That's the reason for there being individual polls to keep people from voting for specifically the people that they have come to listen to and enabling for everybody a fighting chance. Let's say we have two bands that aren't relatively popular and aren't known by everybody, they'll have to look into them and decide which they prefer for example, if it came down to The Used and Modest Mouse, they'd need to watch one of the videos to hear what they're all about. This will keep people from voting solely for one guy, and in-order for that one guy to make it through the ranks he has to individually beat each band.

I'm glad that you like the idea and I hope others along with you give their bands because it's the best way to give a definitive answer to who is the most beloved band on Off Topix.
