Off Topix's Virtual Gift Shop

We've added a Shop!



Currently we have a Gift Shop available but we will use the shop for other things in the future too (maybe username changes, rank color changes, add your own smiley to the board, things like that...)

• Anyway to find the Gift Shop, click the Off Topix Bucks tab up at the top.

• Click the Shop tab

• Click Gift Shop

• To buy an item or items, input the amount you want and click Add to Cart

(Clicking the 1-Click Buy button in the checkout screen is the easiest way to purchase the item but you can go through the Checkout process too if you want.)

• To view all of your items, Click the My Portfolio tab at the top then click My Shop Items from the left side menu. OR there is a bar on the bottom of EVERY Off Topix Bucks Control Panel page that has a link to your shop items.

OR

• To give one of your items to another member (or trade as they call it), click the Name of the Shop Item or click the
  
  folder icon on the right side.

• On the bottom, enter the member's username then click the Send Item button

Viewing Items From Profile Pages:

Is there a way to get the gifts to show in the area where our awards are, or is there not enough space to allow that? On another forum, the gifts you have received are visable in that area and it's nice to see what gifts members have.

On second thought, I wouldn't mind seeing the awards go away and replaced with gifts. The awards are on everyone's profile page if members wanted to see them. Just a suggestion as I would rather see the gifts.

I agree, awards are something you've worked to earn and should be displayed proudly on your mini profile.



This modification does work with the awards system and people can buy/give you an award. Perhaps we can add some awards that people can buy / give to others.

Oh I just noticed that it displays your items on your profile when you click the Off Topix Bucks tab.

You can view other people's items by doing the same.

This is awesome and great! It is a wonderful idea! The forum will get more activity if you add more of these type of things.
