Klose's goal was very lucky

No doubt Argentina will beat Mexico tonight. I honestly can't imagine the Argentines being beaten by Mexico. Might as well say Sunday's game will be Germany vs Argentina

England got exactly what they deserved. They have been woeful all competition and as soon as they played someone of any quality, this was always on the cards.

I cannot understand why the damn Italian manager insisted on playing players out of position. Neither can I understand why, when we needed three goals, he decided to take Defoe off and bring that donkey Heskey on.

Madness, just sheer madness and I wish Germany all the very best, they deserve it.

England have let the fans down, especially those that spent a small fortune to actually go to SA.

What really bothers me is why our FA would give the manager a new two year contract immediately before the world cup. No other nation would have been so stupid to do that and now it's going to cost us in order to get rid of the buffoon.

As for the goal that was clearly over the line, we have Sepp Blatter to thank for that, as he recently ruled out using goal line technology. I think it's a dark day for England and for football as a whole when decisions such as that are not scrutinised by the match officials as they should be.

Eh, I have a feeling we might win.[/quote]

Maybe you shouldn't listen to your feelings anymore.

At half time we coulda done it. That disallowed goal that was obviously a goal, I mean, it was a yard over the freakin' line. This is how the ref interrupted it:

But still cannot ignore how shocking we were in the second half.

It's a shame that Argentina are against Germany in the Quarter Finals. I want Germany to win, but I think that Argentina will win (probably in extra time, since the two are very good).

I look forward to Germany vs. Argentina.

I saw the Mexico vs. Argentina game yesterday, and was baffled by how the referee missed the obvious off-side on the first goal. However, I suppose it was no matter, since the final score was 3-1.

Regards,

Kevin

Apparently even David Cameroon joined the argument about video technology in football because of the match. I think a former referee said it best The officials can't see EVERYTHING. Besides it would have made no difference, Germany would still be in the Quarter-Finals

Todays matches will be:

2 times runner-ups Holland vs. World Cup newcomers Slovakia and the Western European rivals Spain vs Portugal

Uruguay just beat Japan in penalties 5-3

It's Paraguay.

And did they sit at 0-0 throughout the whole game? WTF. I got bored after the first half and stopped watching it.

And now Portugal goes home.

Ah yes, the team that scored 7 goals on their last match against South Korea, and then scored none against Spain. Shame.
