Who are your oldest friends on forums? How long have you known them? How did you become friends?

Mine would be 2 people named, Heather and Angel, I've known them for 3 years and meet on a game!

Probably the longest forum friend I have had would have to be Ashley.S. who runs his own site, PlutoHosting. I've probably known him since the end of 08 or even 09. He's been very helpful with explaning things about PHPBB to me, and is even nice enough about clarifying it even more should I still not understand it. He's helpful too, one time we were chatting back and forth on IM, when I had Chatting Time back in January, and clear out of the blue, he says something like, do you know that someone is trying to pose as you on your forum? I went on, and sure enough, someone was posing as me saying crap like how he likes to look at porn sites every day, and how we were supposedly shutting down because I had forgotten my password, neither of which were true. When Chatting Time was hacked the first time around, it was redirected to a stupid, sickening video site (not Youtube, but I think it was kind of a sibling to Youtube, as it was a similar feeling) I received an email from someone asking me if I really enjoyed looking at crap like that. Uh, no I do not! I explained this to Ash and he advised me to not get worked up over it and to just ignore the person, which I did eventually. I was even a co-administrator on one of his forums before he decided he was going to try a host next! He was very patient with me during my learning stages of the job, and was and still is very helpful with any questions about my duties or how PHPBB worked like if there was a new feature that was added that I didn't understand or didn't know anything about yet. In fact, it was mostly through him that I know and do sort of know what PHPBB is about today. We've never met offline though.

I recently caught up with one of my oldest forum friends, Christine. I've known her since eh...early '06, I suppose. We met on a huge forum for this game we both played, but neither of us go on that forum anymore, and I don't use the email I used back then anymore. A few months ago when we caught up, I just randomly decided to get on my msn with my old email and she was on and we talked for hours.

Another old forum friend is Suzie...we've known each other for just about the same length of time as Christine and I - from the same forum and everything. Suzie actually left the forum before I did, and we kept in touch by email, but that slowed after a year...a year later, we picked it back up again, but it slowly stopped again...but she recently added me on Facebook and we caught up.
