Are you more a fan of new tv shows from this century or old ones from last century?

a little of both, but the older stuff had it's own uniqueness too, and a lot more good older television shows... (;

Depends on the show..also depends on the network as well; while I'll easily sit through PBS Masterpiece shows (especially Sherlock..) whenever they're on, I can't remember the last time I regularly watched a network sitcom...

I like shows/movies based on the quality of acting, story line, plot twists, suspense, humor or whatever... etc, etc

Doesn't matter when it was made. :)

This. I don't mind when it was made, just as long as it was made well and keeps me intrigued and wanting to come back for more. When I'm rushing home or waiting for the show to come on, that's when I know it's a good show.

I agree, Nebulous... :cool:
My only complaint to the above, though, is when Hollywood tries to reboot/remake a series or TV show or movie to modernize it or make it reflect society as it exists now rather than what it did originally. For instance, I like watching episodes of the original version of Hawaii Five-O but I do not give one flip for the CBS reboot; I also feel the same way about The Andromeda Strain...loved the book, loved the early 70's movie...absolutely hated - with a capital H, mind you - the POS miniseries of the same name that aired in 2008.

love the original Hawaii Five-O! :D

disliked the remake a lot... puke, spit and cuss... );
