MTV - The channel sucks ass now. It's nothing but horrible television shows for the mindless teens who watch it.
Some brands of shoes/clothing accessories - I've noticed, within the last few years, that quality has declined in terms of the materials that are used in shoe soles/insoles and leather. This is quite obviously due to shoddy and cheap decisions to save money.
You're right about that. However, some items still are being made with quality in mind, but they are becoming few and far between. You just have to know where to look and determine what the item is going to be used for, how long you plan on keeping it, etc. I think a lot of these quality issues are also in part of consumers not demanding quality products anymore. We assume businesses are going to use the highest quality materials, but that is not the case. They buy in bulk and they outsource their production, which makes things cheaper for them in the long run. And they're making a profit on consumer ignorance and lack of actually doing something about it, like boycotting a particular business who is no longer producing quality items.
If more people actually did this and businesses felt the repercussions, you bet your ass they'd rethink their strategies. But unfortunately that is not the case and there are too many people out there who are too lazy and/or not capable of shelling out the money it costs to buy those higher-quality products.
On the whole this is probably true, however if you enter a certain price bracket for a product, in comparison to the cheapest you can get a certain product for, you can get a high quality product that effort has been put into, it's just a question as to whether you're prepared to pay for it. Though the point you're making is mostly true, the high quality products are still there, just rare.
I do not like the new version of Yahoo mail page, I like only old versions. The new version is some what confusing to me. I am not doing my mail with Yahoo since long time.
