What are your thoughts on having a single global currency?

Where your money will work no matter where you travel to. There is no conversion rates to work out or anything.

I don't think that there should be a global currency.

If you really think about, the currency of different countries ties in with their culture and their history, and while having a global currency might be easier, you would start to lose the identities of individual countries. What image would you place on the coins and notes/bills? Earth?

The piece of paper or coin you hand to someone in exchange for goods/services has nothing to do with a culture and it does not damage an identity at all in my opinion.

The idea is good, but then again, so is universal health care but look how well that's turning out.
