Out of Frame
http://OOF-Writing.com

I'll be doing some aggressive advertising in the near future, but I figured that it wouldn't hurt to at least post this up on the forum. I haven't posted in a while, and I don't know if that will change, but if you ever want to keep up with me. This is what I am up to.

Out of Frame is a writing website that I will be putting a lot of my time and effort to over the next couple of months. (and hopefully, years) The plan now is to have something posted up on the website every day, whether it be a blog, short-story, or review, and I hope to start recording videos in the near future to do YouTube reviews.

Most importantly, however, Out of Frame will feature a lot of my most prominent writing, for example, I have already written one-hundred or so pages worth of content to post about The Adventures of Vulpecula. Basically, they're crime-mysteries from the perspective of a white-fox and his friends. I have also gotten a lot of things done for That Sammy Kid, which will be a nonlinear narrative fictionally retelling of how I spent my high-school years. As said, some of the moments were glamorized, but others were written exactly as they happened.

The website just opened today with a blog, but tomorrow, I'll be posting up the first edition for The Adventures of Vulpecula, followed by a short-story, review, and a couple of other things.

Thanks!

Looks like a nice site. Thanks for sharing. :)

There's a lot of interesting things that I want to do with the website. Right now, I am posting a lot of anthropomorphic tales, or content involving animals. There's still some emotionally heavy content there, but there's mostly light-heart madness. It'll probably be in July, but that is when the website's material will shift over to That Sammy Kid and content like that. The theme will change along with it, and the content will have more of a satirical and sarcastic shift. Then, in September, it'll become more based around horror. I want to have stories with the character from my first novel, along with a novelette or novella called The Miasmatic Theory that will be released in October.

By December, I think I might have the cycle repeat and go back to Vulpecula, but we'll see about that.

Wonderful site with great content. Read your piece you did about high school and man I can relate. High school was torture for me, I remember walking through the halls every morning feeling so alone.

I made a group of friends a few months before my freshman year and we had a falling out, I was kind of outcasted from the group. There were some days where I just couldn't even walk through the front door, being around hundreds of people all around your age group, watching them have a conversation and wish that I could be part of something like that.

Keep it up man, especially these blogs you do about your own life. Every time I feel like I get a little insight on who you are, of course I know you pretty well by now but it helps open my eyes to things that I may not have seen before. It helps me see things from your eyes when you're writing your stories.

Thanks, that's really a lot of what I have been going with Out of Frame. The website was initially established with this idea of marketing "myself" as a character.

This might sound bizarre, but this was inspired by Stephen Colbert and Panic! at the Disco. I'll elaborate on that a tidbit, Colbert is a lot easier to explain than the latter. Stephen, of course, plays a good-hearted, right-wing fool on his show that is oblivious to practically everything. Meanwhile, Panic! at the Disco's music feels like something that you might hear in the club, but if you look at it, a lot of what they are saying is self-deprecating.

I wanted to capture that kind-of self-loathing narcissism, because it actually speaks volumes about me. I have really low self-esteem, but I have a lot of pride in my writing, and so, I practically wanted to play a character to reflect that. Every once in a while, there is a line or two in my blogs or reviews, and I intentionally try to give off that vibe, but it will be pressuring on in July, when I start posting pieces for That Sammy Kid.

That Sammy Kid is a glamorized narrative over my life, and it demonstrates this with more emphasis.

Out of Frame has become a lot more versatile than I ever really expected it to. I want for it to be able to connect to a large portion of people. I love being able to communicate with people, and I've said it before, but I love hearing people's stories. "Tell me your life story, don't spare it," is a line that I find myself returning to over and over again.

It has expanded a lot in the preparation process, and has since begun to feature a lot more variety than I ever expected. It will have short-stories, flash-fiction, novellas, and a lot more, but it also has reviews, blogs, and expositions.

Down the line, if it ever achieves the popularity that I want for it, I would love for it to expand and add a writing forum to allow for easier communication and for other writer's to spread their content.

I really want for the Network idea to work as well, which, in the end, I would to be able to see ten or twenty different websites with the same basic structure. Blogs, reviews, short-stories, and so on, I would gladly read their work whenever I can, and try to help them get a following.

Good stuff!

You're so talented at writing and you're website is such a great read! Keep that work up!

Thanks! I put a lot of time and effort in the website. I mean that too, not like something to say to make me feel good, dedicated, or any of that jazz. Legitimately, I feel like I am going to grow a tail and it will also begin writing for Out of Frame.

A Tale of Tails: An Appendage Story

Ha.

Anyway, yeah, there's a lot of things that I want to do. I know that I want to start a forum sometime in July. I want to reopen an old website called The Writing Brothers, where I will post weekly book reviews and installments to a novel that I am working on with my older brother. It'll be like a little "network" of ME! Who could ask for more? Not Nikolai, not I!

In 2015, a lot of me wants to split it off into another website as well. I want to have OOF-Writing.com get to a point where it has a following. Then, I want to spread it all out so everything gets the time of day. Other-wise, it's like trying to fit so much in one website, and I don't want anything, especially not my writing, being overlooked.

A website for JUST WRITING. A website for Movie Reviews. A website for Game Reviews. A forum. A website for book reviews. (and brother stuff.)
