A spin-off of our other topic about Unsociable admin's.

Have you ever came across an admin who was overly social?
An example would be: Replying to anything and everything, no matter what the topic (and sometimes having nothing really genuine to add)?

What kind of impression does that leave on you (as a regular member of any given forum)? Does it matter to you, at all?

I remember one mod on a now defunct board who seemed to think every even slightly negative comment was about her.

And, late in the board's existence, a lot of them Were about her.

But before that, she would butt into every conversation and thread no matter what the subject was about and somehow twist it her way.

What's worse, the admin thought she was doing great as a moderator.

It depends, being overly social is fine.

However admins that value post count above all, especially during the earlier stages of their forum, aren't good at all.

Not really to that question, to the point where it's just pointless posting. I've seen friendly admins who post a lot, which is nice. I like knowing they're a part of the community, and that they want to put effort into running and being a part of their forum.
