Never heard of that one.Rothfuss' Kingkiller Chronicles.

Twilight. Could never get into that story, I am not sure why people love it so much.
Forget the official law suit filed against Meyer by an unknown author who claimed Meyer imitated her tone. That’s lightweight. But when the Sookie series and the Twilight series have specifics that are mirror reflections, that’s a problem for me.
First Sookie book released: 2001
First Twilight book released: 2005
Sookie: one girl, two guys attracted to her, one light one dark
Twilight: one girl, two guys attracted to her, one light one dark
Sookie: It’s her smell that attracts the vampire.
Twilight: It’s her smell that attracts the vampire.
Sookie: She can read minds, but she can’t read the vampire’s mind.
Twilight: He can read minds, but he can’t read her mind.
Sookie: She has a special power; she doesn’t know how it originated.
Twilight: She has a special power; she doesn’t know how it originated.
Sookie: The wolf pack are actually shifters.
Twilight: The wolves aren’t actually werewolves; they’re shifters.
That, in and of itself, would be enough to piss me off if I were Charlaine Harris.
Interview with the Vampire and Twilight (ahem) Similarities
I would like to note that anne rice wrote the entire series before Meyer in case any idea's that anne stole it from stephanie __________________________________________________
1. The character louis thinks he deserves to be in hell....hmmmm sound familar to another vampire? Edward perhaps
2.Animal Blood can be drank by vampires but they prefer human blood in Interview with a Vampire AND Twilight soon followed this way
3. The Vampires skin dazzles humans apparently....Which is a lot like the sparkling skin that the cullens posess
4. There are immortal children in both of the books. The unnamed children in twilight and little claudia in Interview with the vampire.
5. They are super fast and strong in both books
6. Humans are instantly attracted to vampires.(Lestat quotes you tried to resist and the more you resisted the more i wanted you, but you couldnt resist me)
7. The character louis said that he was 24 but considered a man at those times.Edward says something similar when telling his story to bella
8. When becoming a vampire the person feels pain
9. Immortal children were not allowed by a group in paris which resemble the volturi in their eating manner. The volturi hire someone and dispose of them the french group use the human as an actor then feed on them on stage. In both ways they use 'employment'
10. Louis' wife and child died just before he became a vampire.Edwards mother and father died before he became a Vampire.
11. Louis and Edwards characters are very alike in characters. Louis qoutes Excuse me if i have respect for human life. Edward qoutes I dont want to be a monster They are both masochistic they wallow in grief when they have done wrong
12. Vampires have special gifts such as mind reading in both books

I hated Twilight then and even now after reading this.Stephanie Meyers faced a lot of plagiarism claims when her novels blew up with the public. Someone went thought the trouble and analyzed those claims and posted them online. It is obvious Steph copied off of Charlaine Harris and Anne Rice and was later called out for it by several authors and fans. I agree with their claim. I think Meyer is a plagiarist and piggy backed off of their work.

Charlaine Harris & Stephenie Meyer: Plagiarism or Intertextuality?
I’ve written before about how I got hooked in Meyer’s Twilight series. I mentioned that I was already a follower of Harris’s Sookie series and didn’t see the need to visit …urbanexplorerblog.wordpress.com
On fanpop people compared details between Twilight and Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire that was released in (1976)

Fifty Shades of Grey. None of the characters were likeable to me. Even 'those' scenes were bland just as much as the story. Then there were the movies...

I never had any interest in watching the movies. Not worth it I take it?
Sensible comparison. The Fifty Shades series was originally Twilight fanfiction that got reworked for publishing. Anastasia and Christian were Bella and Edward. Not worth it at all. My husband and I sometimes have a bad movies spell where we watch trash. The Fifty Shades movies were such films and we regretted every minute of it. I would put them right up there with Twilight.
