Do you have open communications with your parent/parents? Meaning, do you feel comfortable talking with your parent/parents about things going on in your life that you need help dealing with.

Only my mother right now. My father wasn't much of a help, not even before he died last year.

Nope.. It's fun to talk to them but i don't talk with them when it comes to close topics in my life.

My mom has passed away and my dad lives 100 miles away (we don't have the greatest relationship either).

Both, Im still living in the same town but many others have moved away or we just lost contact. That's what happens when you've been out of high school for 11 years. I've made a new friend here and there since then, but I have pretty short list of real life friends.
I do have a long list of online Off Topix friends though.

My dad is the main problem so no. My mum doesn't know anything so no.
And my mum once threatened sending me to a mental home if I didn't snap out of the 'depression' yes she actually made the quotation signs when she said it. Never told her anything about my life since.
