Have parks changes since you were a kid?

Are there enough parks in your city?

If you could design your own park, what would you put in it?

I can only think of 2 parks. one of them has swings, slides, climbing frames, and asorted stuff for the kids

the other one is taken up by a bench, a duck pond, and a walking trail.

I doubt you'd ever catch me designing a park. too much being outside for that.

being someone who doesn't like nature much, two is certainly enough!

There are parks EVERYWHERE where I live. There's one around the corner from my house. That one is pretty neat because it has water shooting up from the ground for the kids to play in during the summer.

That's the way parks should be - IMO. Safe, pretty places for kids to play.
So many of the parks in Seattle have become homeless camps. It's against the law...but...'there you go'.

There are a lot of parks around here and many of them are infested by transients. Some aren't, though. They're pretty nice otherwise.

Well considering I haven't lived in one place for more than 5 years at any point in my life, yeah, I'll say the parks around me have changed quite a bit, lol. But in a more serious response -- yeah! Parks have gotten more and more safety oriented, IMO. What used to be a concrete playground and metal slides are now wood chips and plastic, fewer monkey bars and more stepping stone things. Play areas in parks are radically different from when I was young, and parks around me have less places to stop and take it all in, as was perfectly normal in the UK and in Texas. It's a bit odd, but I suppose it is Arizona, people don't want to be outside.

It's been a while since I visited a nice park.
I'd love to go one day and take some great pictures too.

There are enough parks in my city, and people spend time in them all of the time, especially during the summer. In the morning and afternoon, kids and the elderly spend time in them, and around dinner time they transform into a place for people to go on picnic dates or to drink some wine with friends

Parks have changed a lot since I was a kid. I remember as a kid I would head down to the park with my friends and we wouldn't have anything to worry about. Nowadays it's not always safe to be on the parks, which is a shame as it's great for kids to get out and socialize and parks are perfect for that!
