Do you ever give your pet "people food" ?

What is actually good for them? ....or do you think it is all bad?

All in moderation good sir. I do not feed my dog human food on a regular basis. However, if we have left overs that are just going to be thrown away, I'll go ahead and give them to her. On the contrary, my uncle does not allow anyone to give his dog human food. Completely off limits for his dog. I say let dogs be dogs.

I will only do this if my cats are out of cat food, and in SMALL amounts. Nothing with too much sodium or anything that will hurt their natural diet. There are some human foods you can give to animals without disrupting their digestive systems, but it's good to research it first because you could be feeding them poison.

I only give carrots, lettuce and cereal to my rabbit. I always respect its diet since those serve as alternatives to the special food it eats.

My dogs (Miniature Pinschers) - I feed them a dog food (Grammy's Pot Pie) that contains potatoes, green beans, carrots and apples and small pieces of chicken.

My pot bellied pig - Cheerios, unsalted/not buttered popcorn and grapes (in very small portions). She also get a children's complete chew-able vitamin daily.

My horse gets sliced apples as a treat.

My Blue Fronted Amazon Parrot eats a lot of people food along with her seed. People food she eats: raisins, bananas, peanuts, seedless grapes, mango's, yams, peas, and mashed potatoes. For a special treat, she like mini Ritz peanut butter crackers.

my daughter gives one of our cats chicken and cheese all the time....
