Do you think students should be allowed to bring their phones to school? Why or why not?

Besides, the office has a phone if there's an urgent matter.

Yes, I believe they should be able to bring their phones to school. However, rules need to be set in that they cannot use them in class unless there is an emergency situation where it is necessary, and they need to either get in contact with their parent/guardian or police.

That's a tough one these days.
It is almost a joke that these devises are even called phones anymore as the 'phone' element is the least use part of the device.

It is amazing how for generations we could survive without being permanently connected yet now kids at a younger and younger age 'need' a 'phone'. It is sad.

However they have become such a major part of today's society that I agree that they should be allowed, but both controlled and maybe even be used in a way to enhance the out dated failing educational system.

I see kids holding their phone under the table or desk looking at it without the teacher noticing all the time.

Whatever rules they come up with wont be followed and kids will be distracted, instead of learning.
