Some people call it pins and needles or falling asleep... what do you call it when you've let your blood circulation stop too long in your leg, arm, etc and you have that uncomfortable prickly sensation? When was the last time you've experienced it? How do you usually remedy it? Some people say walk around. My mom once told me to put a piece of paper behind my ear. I don't know if it's just a distraction but I swear it works every time and quickly too!

Like a week or two ago, I somehow slept on my left arm and woke up with it completely numb, once I took my head off of it I got all the listed sensations, it sucked, specially since I was trying to go back to sleep.

Two nights ago I got the pins and needles sensation in my arm which was tucked under my head while sleeping. I just kept shaking my arm until the pins and needles sensation went away.

I call it pins and needles too. Got it in my foot just a few days ago and almost fell down when I stood up lmao

It happens to me when I sit on the john for too long. My legs below the knee fall asleep and get super tingly and I get this weird feeling to where I can't stand up because it's so uncomfortable. I basically have to get up and walk it off.

I call it pins & needles. It's an odd sensation, that's for sure. If I don't get up enough (I have a timer I set but sometimes I forget to actually set it lol), my leg falls asleep. Or worse, when I had flung my arm over my head during sleeping, wake up, & can't move it without shooting pains.
If it's the bottom half, walking helps. Upper half, shaking the arm, hand, massaging works.
@Sharon I have never heard of so haven't tried the paper behind the ear. I would think it would be a distraction.

I call it pins & needles as well, I change positions watching TV lots, and if I happen to sit on my legs to long they go to sleep (well cutting off circulation) my parents called it that when I was a kid.

Yep, pins and needles here, too. I mostly get it in my legs and I just stand and put a little pressure on it until the sensation goes away.
