The x and y anime also shows ash is gonna meet a childhood friend again. Im wondering if shes gonna have a crush on him this time. And about the game, is it worth getting it? They added old pokemon just to make the game look better. I mean really?

I don't understand the continued appeal of it. Every game that has come out is exactly the same as the original Red and Blue versions but with some different pokemon.

I haven't played any new Pokemon game in the past 4-5 years.. I may get back into it tho.

Pokémon X is better than Y.

As of right now, I have captured Bunnelby, Pikachu, and Kakuna.

That's not quite true. The mechanics change. Which is especially interesting now that people can fight and trade over the internet.
I haven't played any Pokémon games since Emerald, but if the DS were cheaper I could see myself buying a game again.

They've recently introduced a 2DS which is about a 130. Which allows one to play 3DS games.

The same can be said for any sequel, however. Or, in some cases, entire genres.

Pokemon - Same shit, different pokemon
Call of Duty - Same shit, different guns
The JRPG genre - Same shit, slightly spikier hair
Any realistic driving game - Same shit, more realistic engine noises

I could go on.

I've personally been playing the games for years. And while certain areas are pretty much the same. Example: Kid goes on journey and captures Pokemon, fights gym leaders and wins badges, fight off bad guys, and repeat. I still find the games to be fairly enjoyable.

Gah, I'm so tempted to buy a 3DS and play one of them. Brings back childhood memories.

Must abstain.
