PokePark, a brand new Pokemon discussion forum, is set to provide you with awesome topics and ways to interact with fellow Pokemon fans. We'll have discussion on mainstream games, side games, other Pokemon topics, other games, and general topics. We have several reoccurring contests planned - some of your typical contests and some unique ones - themed around the games for you to participate in. We'll also have regular tournaments over Wi-Fi and simulators to see who's the best Pokemon trainer on the forum.

For the first two months we're open, we're hosting our first large event. By posting and participating (and winning) contests, you can win one of the latest generation Pokemon games (X/Y or Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire), Nintendo eShop Points and other prizes. More information is on the forum.

Happy New Year & 2 weeks at PokePark!

PokePark would like to wish everyone a very happy new year and a great 2015! Today also marks two weeks since we opened our gates and it's been a great ride so far. We're looking forward to many more great times, but hopefully with something more - you!

We've just installed a new BB code that adds tooltip pop ups with information Pokemon abilities, natures, attacks and items. Items also show their image rather than name when used with the code. Check out this topic for more info: http://pokeparkforum.com/topic/7311596/

Also, be sure to congratulate our first Member of the Month, Dragon Lord! You can do that here: http://pokeparkforum.com/topic/7310317/1/

Such a shame, Poke Park had to close. It was truly & indeed a forum with a lot of potential. Good luck with your life plans Geoffrey!

Just being honest and not trying to come off too strong and not to come off as a troll.

But there was a forum that I visited that went down at the same time this one did. I put a lot of time into it as a member. The administrator or owner apparently didn't care or give a damn about me or any of the other members. I sent him a message to, pleading not to lock it up and allow me to have a chance because I have experience as a mod or admin. But no, he apparently didn't give a shit. They'd rather see it die than see another person excel with their idea, their forum, or their dream that they apparently were either not willing or just didn't have the time.

Its always the same exact excuse. Make your own idea. Don't use mine.

Before anyone asks - No, I will not give ownership or control of the forum to another user. I've been down that road before and it never ends well. If you want to make your own forum to replace this one, that's your choice. I'd rather see you do that than try to continue this one.

"dude, you're pitching a really good idea *cough* a forum full of members who care about a forum who put their time and their ideas into it right in the garbage. What do you care?

They're what make a forum. If you have one loyal person still posting, give it to them. They're apparently give more of a shit than you do.  I don't buy the entire statement at all. Too many people feed everyone who likes that forum, that kind of line. If you don't care about your own forum any more, sale it or give it away to someone who is willing to adopt it.

You may have made the idea, but once you have 60-100 people supporting it, its no longer just your idea.

It is a shame that he didn't want to give it away to someone who maybe could have taken it further.

I don't know what is worse, throwing a good thing away or denying some one else an opportunity who would love to have a forum just because they didn't put the time and work into it that they did.

Its no different. Its actually coming off hypocritical. Why should someone care about the time they put into it if they're going to lock it up and delete a good thing?

If they're going to do that, than they shouldn't care if they hand it off to some one who cares more about their idea than they do. Some people feel that there is a chance that if they couldn't do it, than no one can. That isn't true. Or, they're afraid some one is just going to corrupt or trash their forum.

I almost feel that it is a selfish thing. If you have a community of members that care for the forum. Think about the members who actually care about it and pick someone and think about the people who care about it. Hand it to someone who can maybe do better. Throwing it in the trash or locking it up just doesn't send a very good message at all.

End of rant.

Sorry to see it go... Should this thread be archived now that the forum is gone?
