Yeah but should they have that power? That's the discussion here.I thought police officers are already authorized to use deadly force, but only when absolutely necessary. Are they?![]()
You do know most criminals are better shooters then most cops right?Depends on the situation. Like if the "bad guy" is shooting at the cops while they're trying to arrest them, then yeah he's toast.
I agree.Absolutely. Going against an assailants armed with firearms with only batons and tasers doesn't give police officers much of a surviving chance. For that matter, if the police officers would be prohibited from using deadly force, the criminals might as well just stroll into any police station and kill everyone there with ease.

Moist.Most?
Most?
Yes.Do you think police should be allowed to use deadly force? Why or why not?
There is literally hundreds of thousands of cops who have that exact experience on their resume. We need people who served in the military and have actual combat experience and did tours to be police officers.
You have to realize that the percentage of police calls that lead to lethal force is slim to and none and those that do are handled appropriately and justified 99% of the time. Unfortunately, the media and public only ever talk about the 1% when lethal force was mishandled and/or unjustified. There is no question that we are a safer society with police officers.
