Do you trust the police or do you think there is some level of corruption?

I trust them. My grandparents even invite them into their house for coffee. I also talk to them on the street and most of our local bobbies are really nice and freindly

Police around here are very corrupt. Ive been slammed around and thrown on the ground... excessive force... Handcuffed so tight that it cuts off my circulation, thrown in the back of a police car... and the end result was just a speeding ticket.

There has been several lawsuits against the police for excessive force in my area.

Not to mention cops who make women sleep with them to avoid being charged for whatever they did wrong.. I could go on and on.

Haven't encountered any problems with any officers here. New Zealand has one of the least corrupt police forces in the world. Everyone is nice, polite and professional.

I agree with you there Smooth! Even though, thank God, the local police force isn't corrupt, I've come across plenty of people who favour themselves as God. So I can only imagine how the cops are.

Well of course there is corruption anywhere there is power. That's simply fact. The question is how much corruption. My local sheriff's office is corrupt but I would take them over the LAPD or NYPD any day.
