Hmm, well,

There's a weird smell coming from my heater (I think) so I disconnected and blew out the pilot light. We'll see if the smell goes away. I don't think that story is worthy of its own thread.

Turns out my daughter's TV burned out and the smell was not coming from the heater.
Now I gotta relight the pilot light

I wonder if the TV burning out had anything to do with the power going out earlier?
