I noticed a couple of members on the forum posting in a different font than the defualt one, presumably Arial. Those particular people are Jazzy and Smooth. I think it's a really good idea to post in a different font because not only do you're posts get noticed easier, but it also seems as though you put a lot more effort into making you're post. I think i'm going to start writing in Franklin Gothic Medium. How do you guys feel about typing in a font that different from the default?

Yeah I want my posts noticed

There is a mod that allows you to preset a font but its over a year old and I am not sure if it will work on the most recent version of this software. Going to test it out on a test board to see if it works fine or not.

I'm not bothered about fonts, but when people start messing with colours it can be a problem.

Yeah people dont think about people using a skin of opposite colors. Like if someone is using a light theme and they decide to use dark blue as their font color, someone using a dark skin wont be able to read it. OR if someone is using a dark skin and they decide to use white as their font color, someone using a light skin wont be able to read it.

I use a bigger font size because I think it's easier to read. I have a problem reading small font text for long periods of time. The smaller font makes my eyes tired

. I do not like when members use font colors. Sometimes I can't even read a colored font post.

But you are reading other people's posts the majority of the time arent you?

I had a friend on another forum who typed her posts all in bold. Every last word was in bold. It was okay, but it was kind of hard to read at times depending on what theme you were using. I wouldn't mind doing this sometime but I don't want to annoy anybody. When the forum in question first opened up, this person also used different font colors in her posts as well, then we found out that they were adding a darker theme and that she wouldn't be able to do that so much as the dark theme was going to be the default for a while till they could add more themes. I wouldn't mind doing something like this for Christmas or something, just something different, but not something I do all the time.

@Jazzy: I like the font size that you use in your posts. Easy on the eyes and it's just right as well.

I don't do it because it looks cool (even though it does

), i do it to make sure that my posts are noticed. If your scrolling through a thread and everything is the same font and then there's that one post that isn't, chances are you're going to read it. I'm not saying that i feel i was being ignored, i just think that it's worth the 3 seconds it takes to apply the font code.

True. What I was trying to say is I was hoping my larger font is easier for others to read. I have a friend who has MS. He types using his eyes. He was actually the person who I decided to up my font size for (on another forum) to make it easier for him to read. He appreciated it and I have ever since used the font size I'm using now. I don't use this font size to get more attention to my posts, I do it in case there are other members like my friend with MS who may have a problem reading smaller font size.
