If you have a partner are they for or against PDA?

I try to hold my partners hand in public and he tries to pull away :(

We're both against it. I am uncomfortable showing affection in public. Even when I dated women. Just feels weird to me.

I used to do it when I was with a woman like that. But most of the women I get with think that is awkward and embarrassing. Not to mention if we did, people would complain.

Yeah, we've kind of moved away from PDA as a society. Doesn't bother me, but I understand why some are against it.

It bothers me when I see it, I guess I am a prude.

A hug or an arm around someone is one thing but when people shoving their tongues down each others faces in public its a little weird.

Maybe I am just a prude. :P

I think it's quite cute when an elderly couple are holding hands. I think my partner is worried about the abuse we may get being a same sex couple. A lot of attacks happen to same sex couples in NZ (And around the world).

Nah, it bothers a lot of people, just never phased me because I've seen it so often it's just...whatever.

It's an understandable fear, but it's never a bad thing to show affection, IMO.

Better to be safe than sorry I suppose./

I've seen it a lot too, still odd. :p

It is if it puts your personal safety at risk. Me and my partner could be at home together for 23 hours of the day. The 1 hour we go out we NEED to be fondling each other, holding hands, making out, etc? Nah it can wait, we have all the time in the world to do that in privacy.

Fair enough, lol

Oh absolutely, personal safety is a must. Hopefully we can reach a point where doesn't have to be a consideration in this world. I guess we still have a long, long way to go as a society. I mean, people still get upset at interracial couples, even male/female interracial couples, so yeah, not safe for anyone. Ok, fine, guess I'll change my opinion. Save it for private

Awesome, lets end PDA all together :D :evillaugh:

I'm not in a relationship, but when I was, PDA was fine as long as it wasn't more than a hug, hand-holding, or a relatively quick peck. I'm not very romantically affectionate anyway, so I wouldn't want to show other people, but if my partner wanted to (or didn't want to, for that matter), I would fully respect that.

Kind of depends. I don't mind it so much in younger people. I mean they have the raging hormones and such. But, seeing old celebrities sucking on each other's faces is just gross. lol

And, sometimes it is truly passion. But, I have also known couples who very expressive in public and they are usually the first ones divorced lol

Trying to prove to everyone that their love is not a sham

I don't actually care either way. but I certainly don't mind it?

idk for me it's more like I don't mind showing off how great my partner is. unfortunately my ex wouldn't stop going on about how I can fix this or build that to their friends and family... that's not important... usually lol. but PDA should not mean putting someone on a pedestal either. all things in moderation.
