Public Speaking

I'm currently writing a speech on the use of the airport close to my house. I have to present it in about six hours! I'm not afraid of public speaking, but the content and quality of the speech itself.

Are you afraid of public speaking? If so, why do you think?

I'm not really afraid of public speaking to the point where I freak out and can't do it. Regular nerves get me, but if I have to speak publicly then I will. I just haven't had to in a long time.

I'm the same way! I'm not really afraid of public speaking because teachers really can't be.

I just get nervous about a lot of things and tend to start shaking once I'm up there for some reason.

I hated when I had to speak in front of the class, it always made me nervous and my voice would get little girlish lol.

I agree with the sound of your own voice thing. I don't like my own voice either, however I have been told by men my voice is sexy. Mehhhh they probably just wanted to get into my pants.

Yes they told me same thing that there is nothing wrong with my voice.

The only part that puts me off is my voice. I can hear it. The sound doesn't match my age.

public speaking is a BIG part of my job.....I am very good at it.....I have a rather contralto voice that carries very well..practice makes perfect I guess
