So, how much do you use public transport?

Never, but then again I don't really use private transport, either.

Do you prefer to stay home all the time because going out is too much hassle?

Do you feel you miss out on things that way or do you just prefer to stay where you're comfortable?

I hope you don't mind me asking.

Never. I have a car.

Perhaps if they ran 24/7 and came every 5 or 10 minutes like they do in real big cities, I would not need one. I'd still have car though as its a billion times more convenient.

(I'm joking here, so don't go and cry in a corner - I seriously don't mind that you asked).

I didn't say I was a hermit, I go out and do stuff, even work...but the local public transportation system sucks despite the below:

...I live practically where I could throw a stone and hit Mickey Mouse's Head, or hook up with Cinderella in the Magic Kingdom - a.k.a. big city, so while the public transport sucks, every thing is pretty much close together, with wide huge sidewalks and roads - not to mention I'm a Marathoner - so long distances mean nothing to me (uphill both ways in three metres of snow, too!).

Also, even though I don't own a vehicle because I'm broke as hell, and I don't really like driving for certain reasons - I can drive, so when that opportunity arises, I utilize that method for extra long distances.

I use the train twice a week, other than that it's situational. If I'm at home in the big city (which is very small but big for Belgium) I use the tram or bus to get around.

Back when I was living on my own, I used to use the cab services a lot.

i use the bus to get into the city a few times each week..................takes a little bit longer than driving in and is considerably cheaper than paying parking costs

The only time I use public transportation is when I need to take the ferry across the lake into another state. There is no other way to get across unless you drive to the ferry. It runs every 15 minutes and only take 20 minutes to get to the other side. Can get expensive for people who use it to commute back and forth to work. Round trip tickets are $23 for the driver and an extra $5 for each additional passenger.

I only take buses so I can go to my college

Also, a few years ago for a time. I was riding on one of the city busses.

I use trains sometimes but they're such a hassle now that they've invented a new system that tends to break...
