This lion gave her naughty cub the ultimate time out when she caught him in a headlock. She picked up the youngster by the scruff of the neck after it tried to take a swipe at her. But the cub's head became wedged between her jaws - making it look like she was about swallow him whole. The moment was caught by wildlife photographer Shanna Love in Botswana.

This bear clearly decided that a little pampering was in order - indulging in a spa treatment using all natural materials. After emerging from a swamp in Finland he scrubbed himself clean and dry by rubbing against a dead pine tree. Dripping with water, the European brown bear scratched his back on the bark and rubbed his face with the branches as he exfoliated.
