Are you a racist? If so, are you full on just slightly at times? Do you think being a racist is a choice or instinct?

Yes

Just slightly. I never actually say anything out loud. It's always a thought.

I think it's neither. Racism is taught.

Not at all. We are all people and you cannot judge a book by its cover. I feel sorry for racist people actually. I'd hate to have that fault.

I feel sorry for those ignorant people too. Although it may be respectable for someone to be honest and own up to their racism here, I would laugh if anyone here actually tried to justify their racism. Its just something I don't approve of at all.

I'm not going to justify my racist behaviour. I know it's not right - that's why I don't say anything out loud, but as I said, it's taught. I was taught by hanging out with the wrong crowd. My racism is usually the stereotypical racism, such as saying Asians are bad drivers. I wouldn't ever not befriend someone purely based on their colour.

Well at least you admit that you are close minded.

I believe that EVERYONE has made a racist remark at some point in their lives. Everyone just likes to think that they haven't - because it's a more pleasant thought. Sure, no-one likes to admit a wrong doing, but the only way to better oneself is to admit your faults and make those changes.

Those that don't admit to what they've done are cowards in my eyes - unable to hear the music that plays afterwards, so to speak.

I'm only racist to people who are racist, such as ones who think if we do anything towards them we are racist, it just really annoys me, they come into Australia as immigrants and think we have to all get along with their culture, and when we don't they call us racist.

Never said it to someones face, however.

So just because you are a racist you think everyone else is in some way and is a coward for not admitting it? lol

If you grew up in such a racially diverse area such as I have then it would be hard to be a racist because you've been surrounded by people of all different colors/races since you were born and its been instilled in you to judge each individual on their actions, not their skin color from day one.

Thank you for further proving to me that you are ignorant. Although you didn't really have to do it. I already made that determination.

This topic sure did get interesting fast.

Are you kidding me? The more racially diverse the area, the more you notice how different we are from each other and the more hatred there is. We have a lot of Muslim immigrants, mainly from North Africa, that come here and preach to us how we have to live. There's even an organisation preaching in the streets how Belgium should become an Islam dictatorship and that all women that don't cover up their hair are sluts and can be raped if you'd like to.

If that wasn't enough, they also gang up on people. I've been beaten up multiple times by them because I looked at them and apparently even that's racist these days. So don't come to me with the bullshit of we're all different colours and live harmonically together crap, if you really think that you're living in a fantasy.

I'm with Kasynlie on this one, there's no way that anyone here never made a racial comment in their life.

@ Carry - Is he ignorant or are you for being blind of the problems they bring to your country?

Thank you for that solid post Cranos.

Lol.. You are very incorrect sir. Perhaps where you live, the people think differently.

Actually no, racially diverse areas are generally poor areas. That means a lot of crime, gangs, hinder, etc which only enhances the hatred and racism. But thank you for that wonderful post, I really love how you don't have any arguments to back up your statement...

Well where i live there is a lot of crime, gangs and poverty.. However none of the crime here seems to be racially based. Everyone is equally victimized regardless of their color. lol.

My posts are only pertaining to my immediate area. If you think its impossible for someone not to be racist / diverse areas not to be filled with racial hatred, then I can't change your opinion, however its incorrect.

Lol dream on... Even if it were the case that doesn't give you the right to call racist people faulty or ignorant. There are actually very good reasons as to why people are racist and a lot of them are in fact intelligent. It's not some fault in your education that you can't get out of your system for the rest of your life. Not everyone can live in your dream town where everybody gets along.

This is not a dream town at all. Its a hell hole. However one thing I dont have to worry about is racist b.s.

Can get a little bit racist sometimes (in my mind; monologue).

You know, like when someone of a certain race does something that makes you sad/angry/disappointed, sometimes you go Argh, that (insert race/ethnicity)!

I'm not sure whether that's being racist or not but that's just a bad habit I have.
