40 to 75% of all species on the world's habitats are indigenous to the rainforests. It has been estimated that many millions of species of plants, insects, and microorganisms are still undiscovered. Tropical rainforests have been called the jewels of the Earth, and the world's largest pharmacy, because over one quarter of natural medicines have been discovered there. Rainforests are also responsible for 28% of the world's oxygen turn over.

Should we try to save/restore the rainforests? Why or why not.

Yes we should, They are the most important thing on this planet.

Hallelujah brother. It is estimated that 70% of forest should be gone by 2040. STOP THIS TODAY!

~Indeed~

Most medicine is based of plants that are from the rainforests and new plants that could help kill infection are being discovered all the time. Also, there are many new species that have yet to be discovered living in the forest.

The rain forests should be saved.

I dont really see a need to bulldoze the rainforests.. We can find alternatives for whatever they are needing.

The knowledge we have gained as well as can potentially gain from rain forests is indispensable. Not to mention the environmental effects.

Of course they should be saved, cutting them down for farms is rubbish because the soil's no good.
