How do you react to rude people?

I voted kill them with kindness. Sometimes people who are rude are just having a bad day. I smile and walk away.

I'm rude all the time (not usually on purpose though).

Definitely kill with kindness! Nothing annoys a rude person more than getting a positive response or none at all!

For the most part, I ignore them ... I go silent and deaf. I figure if they're so angry inside, they don't need my wrath on top of whatever else is ailing them.



I'm brainstorming to think if I have any rude people right now in real life (friends/family) and I can't think of one off hand.



When I encounter a rude person online, I'll either ignore them OR tell them I don't reply to name-calling and such (intolerance of opposing opinions.) Fortunately, I've only had to do that once here. This seems to be a more mellow and respectful group.
